Description
With a first impression of ripe red berry aromas, the nose gently expands to include dark, rich plum with hints of musk making a subtle appearance. In your mouth, this wine bursts with flavours of fresh cherries, raspberries and cinnamon. When given a chance to settle, you'll notice the slightest presence of lovely vanilla pods, Cedarwood and fresh mint. This wine longs to be paired with seared Wagyu steak with a red wine reduction and fondant potato.

Vineyard
Durbanville is the closest of the Cape Town wine valleys, in proximity to the ocean. Occassional misty mornings and the ever-cooling sea breeze make this part of the world perfect for grape growing. Add the lovely, dense clay soils and mostly north-facing vineyards to make wine-growing an absolute joy. Being a slightly cooler climate region allows for longer ripening periods, so grapes can ripen optimally before being harvested. Sauvignon blanc does particularly well here and makes up around 50% of the vineyards on our farm. The balance is allocated to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Riesling and Cabernet Franc.
