Description
Our Semillon is planted amongst the Sauvignon blanc vines on the farm. Dried fig and apricot effortlessly intertwine with honey and the zest of freshly cut lemons and oranges. You are transported into a citrus orchard with the oak being to the wine as a frame is to a portrait. Full and creamy on the palate, and begging for food, this wine shows its true colours when paired with Duck l'Orange.

Vineyard
Durbanville is the closest of the Cape Town wine valleys, in proximity to the ocean. Occassional misty mornings and the ever-cooling sea breeze make this part of the world perfect for grape growing. Add the lovely, dense clay soils and mostly north-facing vineyards to make wine-growing an absolute joy. Being a slightly cooler climate region allows for longer ripening periods, so grapes can ripen optimally before being harvested. Sauvignon blanc does particularly well here and makes up around 50% of the vineyards on our farm. The balance is allocated to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Riesling and Cabernet Franc.
