Ormonde Barrel Selected Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Cabernet Sauvignon is an exciting cultivar to work with, challenging our winemaker to produce top quality wines.  Produced from dry land conditions, the berries are very small and concentrated with perfect balance of aromas, colour and ripe tannins. Aroma: Black pepper, vanilla, toasty oak and flamed berries complemented by black berry fruit and spice on the palate. Finish: Barrel ageing in French Oak for 16 months.  50% new oak. Food Pairing: Flamed Rump steak with thick creamy mushroom sauce.
