About
Kara-Tara is a joint project between Rüdger van Wyk and José Conde (owner of Stark-Condé) and has been received very well in retail around the world, with modern eye-catching labels and excellent value. Kara-Tara focuses on Pinot noir and Chardonnay, sourced from several unique cool climate vineyards across the Cape.
After his oenology studies, Rüdger was in the Cape Winemakers Guild Protégé program, won the “Diner’s Club Young Winemaker of the Year” in 2018, and was nominated as one of South Africa’s “Wine Industry Top 30 under 30" in 2020.
