Description
A bouquet of blackcurrant, raspberry and a sniff of oregano and tomato plant on the nose. Ripe fruit with fine-grained tannins. A juicy mid-palate of cocoa and cherry. There's a savoury smokiness which rounds off a lengthy finish.

Vineyard
Groenberg terroir decomposed granite sand and clay. Hot summer climate, cooled by mountain winds during the night.
Vinification
Harvested at optimum ripeness. Handpicked and sorted, destemmed cold maceration for 2-day, alcoholic fermentation in open bins. Malolactic fermentation French oak barrel. Bottled after 18 months.
Maturation
Malolactic fermentation was completed in new and old French oak barrels. Bottled after 18 months.
