Description
This wine dons the album art of the contemporary South African Jazz collaborative record, "Indaba Is," a legendary musical compilation that weaves and bends together, etched with the ardor of the 52 musicians it contains. The wine it adorns takes encouragement from the collaborative energy- a blend of grapes from 5 different parcels- Orangerie, Hillside, Kasteelsig, Paarderberg and Waterval- All dotted across the Swartland. This wine is made whole by their togetherness- the combination of juice, 7 blissful days on skins and some cherishing, the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

Vinification
The wine itself was made in collaboration another winemaker in the Swartland who specialized in orange wines, Jurgen Gouws. It was made using grapes from several different vineyards throughout the Swartland – primarily Chenin, but one Viognier block as well. Everything was hand harvested and de-stemmed prior to pressing. We let the wine sit on the skins for about 7 days and did punch downs about once a day, only using feet.
Maturation
After fermentation, all of the parcels went into old French oak barrels where they stayed for 4-5 months and went through maloactic before being retrieved and blended together. The wine was fermented exclusively using native yeasts and it was not fined with anything
