Description

Daddy’s princess – a self-assured class act, where assertive determination lurks under a coral skirt. Uncover a tango of strawberries, sour cherries and dark red rose petals. Soft, smooth tannins bring the palate together and will be a fabulous companion to seared swordfish with salsa verde.

Vineyard

Durbanville is the closest of the Cape Town wine valleys, in proximity to the ocean. Occassional misty mornings and the ever-cooling sea breeze make this part of the world perfect for grape growing. Add the lovely, dense clay soils and mostly north-facing vineyards to make wine-growing an absolute joy. Being a slightly cooler climate region allows for longer ripening periods, so grapes can ripen optimally before being harvested. Sauvignon blanc does particularly well here and makes up around 50% of the vineyards on our farm. The balance is allocated to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Riesling and Cabernet Franc.
