Enticing aromas of red plum and raspberry fruit meets the nose. Complemented by a soft and elegant palate with distinctive mocha and red fruit flavours. The Basson family has it’s roots firmly in the History of Darling, being part of the original families to develop the potential of the Darling Hills. Still a Family Estate today, the Basson Wines is a reflection of our History.

Vinification
Fermented in Stainless steel until dry. The wine was macerated on the skin for a further 10 days to ensure extraction of colour and flavours. Normal pump over occurring 3 times per day.
Maturation
Barrel ageing in French Oak for 16 months.
