DE KRANS WINES, situated in Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo on the scenic R62, is recognized as one of the best "port"-style and Portuguese varietal wine producers in South Africa, making wines from Verdelho, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. It also produces a range of classic varietal wines, namely a Wild Ferment Chardonnay, Free Run Chenin Blanc, Pinotage Rosé and a Basket Press Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz, all at competitive prices. De Krans is also the leading Moscato producer in South Africa, producing a White, Rosé and a Red perlé Moscato.
